Pride in the Highlands - formerly Minden Pride - is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organization serving the 2SLGBTQIA+ community throughout the Haliburton Highlands: Minden Hills, Algonquin Highlands, Dysart Et Al, and Highlands East. Our annual Pride Festival is recognized as one of the largest cultural festivals in the county.

Our friends at Dimensions Algonquin Highlands have generously donated a 2 Night All-Inclusive LAKESIDE HATHA FLOW WEEKEND RETREAT at their exceptional Maple Lake property for auction in support of Pride in the Highlands. Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly to Pride in the Highlands thanks to Zeffy and Dimensions Algonquin Highlands.

The Offer:
Ease into the two-night weekend with a calming sound bath in our Ceremony Dome on Saturday night. On Sunday, awaken to a Hatha Flow Yoga and Meditation, then on Monday greet the week to come with another gentle sunrise Hatha and meditation class—led by Alisha Jangra, yoga instructor and meditation guide. This year, we are turning up the volume on our Rainbow StreetFest on Water St. and Float with Pride River Parade down the Gull.

On Sunday, August 23rd

11am - 3pm

Water Street in Downtown Minden

The Rainbow StreetFest Vendor Market showcases the Pride of the Haliburton Highlands: artisans & boutiques, community organizations and local businesses.

The ever-popular Children’s Activity Area is fun for all ages and abilities, created in partnership with BCG Canada.

Our Famous Float with Pride River Run down the Gull: Cheer on your favourites - the top three teams will receive fabulous rainbow prize packages from our local businesses.

Registration closes at 10:30am.

Float begins at 11am from Rotary Park.

Drag Royalty Plum Vicious & Love Masisi will be hosting an incredible show on the ACM Designs Main Stage with special guests NorthFIRE CIRCUS and Gayly Forward.

Musical Performances, Lip-Syncs, Hilarious Contests - it’s going to be a spectacle!
